In May 2026, the WELDING Group established its Mexican subsidiary, WELDING Ingredientes S.A. de C.V., headquartered in Mexico City. With this step, the family-owned company, based in Hamburg since 1955, expands its international presence and strengthens its position in the Latin American market.
Our goal is to combine the WELDING Group's long-standing European distribution expertise and global sourcing network with local market knowledge and a direct presence in Mexico.

WELDING Ingredientes S.A. de C.V. was established as an independent company and is headed by Managing Director Michael Kuhlmann. He brings 17 years of experience in the Mexican market, including 11 years in senior positions. His in-depth knowledge of the local pharmaceutical and food industries drives the expansion of our business in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and nutrition products in Mexico.
Mexico is a dynamic market with growing demand for high quality APIs and nutrition products. Our goal is to build a high performing team and modern infrastructure to reliably supply domestic industry with high quality products at competitive prices.

In our pharmaceutical segment, we supply our customers with Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients from qualified sources in India, China, and Europe. Our ingredients comply with international GMP guidelines and are supported by the required documentation. In addition, we provide traceability, comprehensive documentation, and support in Regulatory Affairs, including alignment with local Mexican regulations and COFEPRIS requirements as well as international standards such as ICH.
In the food additives segment, our portfolio ranges from ingredients for functional foods and dietary supplements to additives for processed foods, including preservatives, stabilizers, and functional ingredients from certified sources.
Our competitiveness is based on the combination of quality management and cost efficiency. Through our established sourcing network in Asia, we procure products directly from audited manufacturers while maintaining European quality standards.
